With the world’s largest vaccination campaign, India is regaining momentum across industries. Telecommuting and hybrid models have taken the pace of information technology into the course of normalcy. In an effort to highlight the new beginnings of channel partners and resellers, CRN India (part of the Indian Express Group) organized the pioneering virtual conference called Channel Leadership Summit 2021 from November 23, 2021 until November 24, 2021.

The first day of the conference (November 23, 2021) kicked off with a keynote speech by Rajesh Marar, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Cloud Channel Platform, Ingram Micro Cloud. He emphasized the industry’s commitment to fulfilling customer requirements.

Marar commented, “Due to the pandemic and social distancing, the vast majority of companies have had to relocate to remote workplaces. Remote work is not a temporary situation as predicted in the latest McKinsey report. Cybersecurity has become a top priority for any company. The ability to simplify complexity and satisfy Customers are the primary focus of enterprises.”

The conference moved forward with a session entitled “Freedom with Cybersecurity Without Borders Written by Dibasish Mukherjee, Vice President, Regional Sales (APJ), SonicWall on Cyber ​​Security. Mukherjee said: “We have 17,000 partners globally, 60 percent of whom are fully loyal partners. What is needed more than ever is a rapid shift to a cybersecurity model to help restore the power of choice. There is a need to reduce human intervention through automation in Real time.We observed four billion cyber attacks in the last fiscal quarter of 2021, of which 99 percent were known threats and 1 percent were unknown threats (about 40 million attacks).The three pillars of borderless cybersecurity are: disruptive economics, and knowledge of the unknown. unifying vision and control.

Next, Charath Srinivasamurthy, Research Director, Enterprise Solutions and ICT Practice, IDC IndiaSpecial spoke in a session titled ‘Practicing Managed Energy – An Opportunity Hard to Ignore’. He explained, “Digital transformation is accelerating at a rapid pace. Iot, blockchain and AI are the new technologies dominating the world. AI-based automation is emerging at a rapid rate. In 2020, 64 ZBs of data have been created or copied and it is expected to grow as per Manifold level by 2025. There is increasing pressure on network capacity. Most organizations opt for a hybrid approach. The importance of green or sustainable initiatives will be the priority in the coming years.”

Vijay Muthu, General Cloud Security Sales Officer, Fortinet took the conference forward with its session titled “Accelerating the Customer Cloud Journey with Fortinet Cloud Security Solutions”. He stated that most companies are embracing digital transformation, increasing cloud adoption and updating their security analytics. According to Muthu, “An AI and machine learning knowledge base is required to handle the latest security challenges. The Fortinet security fabric is built on: broad coverage and visibility, an end-to-end solution and an automated self-healing network. The next session was entitledWestern Digital Backup and Archive Solutions for the Data Center Market” by Naresh Rana, Senior Director of Sales, Western Digital And Limton Xavier, Principal Technician, Sales, WesternDigital. Rana stated, “Digital backup and archive solutions should be very cost-effective. Data storage functions should be fast and backup and archiving solutions should be simple and easy to manage.”

Xavier stated, “Our target applications are public/private SDS, cloud, backup/archive and configurable architecture. In today’s digital age, we are looking for massive backup demand solutions.”

The conference continued with a live chat entitled “Channeling Data Economics” with Uttam Majumdar. He noted that most customers are in the process of their digital transformation journey. According to Majumdar, “Rapid decision-making has helped make businesses more efficient and robust. Today’s data platform determines how well your business can survive into the future. We run our own garage to develop data-related facilities. The channel community is very strong globally, and even in India it is Fantastic. It brings together the best minds and innovations in the market.”

Then there was another powerful conversation titled “Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning in Software Testing: The Need of the Hour” with Ram Chanmgham, Co-Founder and CEO of AutonomIQ (Sauce Labs Inc.) and Asim Tambuli, Head of Cloud Practice, Tableau Practice and ISV Alliance , Savex Technologies Pvt. Ltd.

According to Shanmugam, Covid-19 has created an opportunity to try out the latest technology. Because of Covid-19, from a customer point of view, everything is now contactless. New technologies provide greater efficiencies, and most companies reap the maximum benefits from them. More and more programs are being created due to the huge push in digital transformation at the global level due to the pandemic.”

Asim commented that we try to answer all customer inquiries regarding cloud adoption, testing itself has become a huge part in itself and one of the unique features of AI is that it can do risk predictions.

The conference was led by a session titled “Fast Forwarding your IT Innovation with Everything-as-a-Service” by Anirudh Shrotria, Managing Director, Shro Systems. He expressed, “The forces behind digital transformation are data (creating results), cloud (unlocking agility) and artificial intelligence (driving insights). Business workload needs the flexibility of the cloud experience to beat the competition. Organizations need to cut costs and stay on top of the competition. money and align costs with their business. Next, Shantaram Shinde, National Head of Business, NTT Global Data Centers and Cloud Infrastructure in India, stepped the conference forward with his session titled ‘Netmagic to NTT – The New Avatar’. Next was a panel discussion entitled “How the cloud can be used as a springboard for growth”. Prasenjit Mukherjee, Chief Information Officer, Team Computers commented: “Business and IT leaders are beginning to reimagine and re-strategize the foundation of war.”

“The availability of systems has increased, in terms of cloud models,” said Moez Ansari, COE-IAAS, Savic.

Gurpreet Singh, Managing Director of Arrow PC Networks noted that IT was initially invented to manage cost and provide technical support to organizations.

Shantaram Shinde, National Head of Business, NTT Global Data Centers and Cloud Infrastructure, India said that for India’s partner ecosystem to function well, they have to adopt a hybrid cloud approach.
