Facebook has been around for more than 15 years. It has nearly three billion monthly active users and is one of, if not the most popular, social media platforms on the internet. Chances are, if you’re reading this, you have a Facebook account. Facebook allows users to deactivate or delete their account permanently. Once you decide to delete your account, it will become difficult to recover your information if you change your mind after 30 days of deleting your account.
Meta-owned Facebook allows you to delete an account via mobile apps on Android and iOS or via a web browser. Please note that Facebook allows you to cancel the deletion of an account and all its posts and information within 30 days. To completely delete the account and all its information, Facebook needs up to 90 days.

Additionally, deleting a Facebook account linked to an Oculus headset will delete all information on the VR headset.
